Fire Protection and Consulting / University Campus

Cornell University's main campus in Ithaca is comprised of over 628 buildings and 2,300 acres in the heart of New York State's Finger Lakes region. 

CORE Group personnel conducted a site-wide evaluation of approximately 180 campus buildings relative to fire alarm and sprinkler systems.  The evaluation included documentation of existing system configuration, code compliance, water supply requirements, and suitability for the building occupancy. Results of the evaluation were recorded in a custom database also created as part of the project. The information was formulated into a report for incorporation in the University’s Fire and Life Safety Master Plan. Additional consultation and design services were provided relative to various fire protection systems located throughout the campus.
